Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has on Thursday evening spoken out, ahead of his imminent 2nd debut for the club.
CR7 is back
The headline news at Old Trafford over the course of the last fortnight has of course come in the form of Ronaldo’s remarkable return.
On the back of a 12-year spell away from the club, United, upon hearing of the Portuguese’s eagerness to depart Italian giants Juventus, showcased little hesitance in swooping to bring their prodigal son back to England.
Ronaldo’s comeback, in turn, was announced on August 27th:

With the 36-year-old having immediately jetted off for international duty, however, his arrival in Manchester was actually only forthcoming late last week.
After a period of self isolation as per the UK government’s Covid-19 rules, CR7 subsequently linked up with the rest of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad this past Tuesday.
And now, two days later, Ronaldo has officially put pen to paper on terms with United:

‘Ready to go!’
Attentions, inevitably, will now swiftly turn towards the veteran attacker’s impact on the pitch.
Despite having long entered the twilight years of his career, Ronaldo remains a prolific goalscorer, a trait which will no doubt prove crucial to the fortunes of the Red Devils over the course of the season ahead.
And, if the latest comments on the part of the Portuguese himself are anything to go by, then Solskjaer and co. could yet benefit from such talents not only from the bench, but from the off this weekend.
Speaking after committing to the terms of his deal with the club, Ronaldo was drawn on his hopes for United’s meeting with Newcastle on Saturday.
And, after admitting that he expects the nerves to flow ahead of kick-off, the former Real Madrid man was not shy in (lightheartedly) confirming that he fully intends to push for a starting berth:
‘Of course I will be nervous on Saturday, but I am more mature, I am more experienced, I will be prepared and I am going to make pressure to Ole now to start in the XI [laughs]. I am ready to go!’
