Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has, on Thursday afternoon, provided a fitness update on his squad.
Citizens await
The Foxes have of course endured a solid start to the new campaign.
An out-of-character 4-1 drubbing at the hands of West Ham aside, Rodgers’ men have rattled off a trio of victories in 2021/22.
The most high-profile came in the form of a Community Shield downing of champions Manchester City, whilst further three-point Premier League hauls versus Wolves and Norwich were forthcoming either side of the London Stadium debacle.

Next up for Leicester, meanwhile, comes yet another showdown with Man City.
The King Power outfit are set to play host to Pep Guardiola’s men on Saturday afternoon, in the respective clubs’ first outing on the back of the international break.
Ricardo latest
As such, with the Sky Blues no doubt eyeing a spot of revenge for their Community Shield defeat last month, Brendan Rodgers will be keen to have as many of his key performers fit and available as possible this weekend.
And, on Thursday, the Leicester boss has confirmed a trio of boosts on the personnel front.
Speaking in a pre-match press conference, Rodgers first revealed that Ricardo Pereira, forced off versus Norwich last time out, has now returned to training:
Ricardo Pereira looks to have recovered from the hamstring injury that forced him off at Carrow Road. “He trained today and he came through a session and looked very good.” James Justin and Wesley Fofana are the only two definite injury absentees. Perez is suspended. #LCFC

And there was encouraging news forthcoming regarding the wellbeing of both Jonny Evans and Jannik Vestergaard, too, with the sidelined stoppers both in contention to mark their return versus City on Saturday:
Rodgers will make a late decision on the availability of Jonny Evans and Jannik Vestergaard. “They are progressing very well. We’ve had a good international break in terms of players getting fitness. Hopefully all those players will be available”
