here were 167 deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported by the UK Government on Friday.
Since September 3 there have been 921 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows a week-on-week increase of 18.5 per cent.
The Government also confirmed 38,013 new people had a confirmed positive test result in the past 24 hours.
Since September 3, 272,334 people have tested positive an increase of 15.3 per cent compared to the previous week.
