A FIRE broke out in a large fallen tree on the grounds of Blenheim Palace.
On Monday afternoon fire crews from Kidlington Fire Station and Burford Fire Station attended an incident where a large fallen tree was on fire.
Smoke could be seen from a distance as fire crews battled the blaze using chainsaws and a water suppression system to make sure the area was safe.
The incident commander advises that people should always seek permission of the land owner before starting a fire and that the fire should never be left unattended.
Firefighters posted about the incident on Facebook and thanked all the staff at Blenheim Palace for their assistance throughout the emergency response.
