Liverpool see off Norwich
Liverpool were in League Cup action on Tuesday evening. The Reds faced off with Norwich in a 3rd round tie.
Jurgen Klopp opted to rest a number of big players for the game. But Liverpool still had plenty off quality in the side, including Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate.
And, in the end, it would be the Merseysiders who came out on top, thanks to a brace from Takumi Minamino and one goal from Divock Origi.

Klopp on Keita & Firmino
Following the tie, Jurgen Klopp provided updates on Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino.
Keita looked to be in some pain during the first 45 when he kicked the grass, and Klopp would confirm post-match that they needed to take him off at the break and that it is a little bit of concern:
“Half time we had to change, Keita kicked the grass, a little bit of concern. Curtis in the half spaces, Tyler in the No.6, it looked more natural. Taki in good shape, Oxlade could use his speed. All good.”

The German then gave an update on Roberto Firmino, who has been out since coming off in the first half of the Reds’ 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
The Brazilian, though, is expected to be back soon, according to Klopp:
“I was never in doubt [about the strength in depth]. Bobby trained y’day so he will be back soon. We have 2 mids out and we should make sure that number doesn’t get bigger but the start of the season was good for the whole squad. A lot more to come.”
