osta Del Sol holiday bookings have rocketed as British travellers rush to book their spring break away.
New data from On the Beach revealed sun-seekers have been booking up dates to Costa Del Sol in recent days.
The Costa del Sol region has always been a popular holiday destination with Brits.
And bookings to Costa Del Sol have spiked by 40 per cent since January 4 this year.
The travel company said bookings had soared since the launch of Channel 4’s new dating show Language of Love which is filmed in Andalusia – with Brits eyeing up an escape to Spain’s region of romance.
Holidaymakers seeking the sunshine have scrambled to lock in dates at the Spanish town for the spring months of April, May and June in particular.
Spain and the Canaries remain top of the wishlist for couples setting their hearts on a romantic break away for Valentine’s Day, the travel experts said.
Zoe Harris, Chief Customer Officer at On the Beach, said: “There’s something so uplifting about booking a sunny escape when it’s cold and grey outside.
“With Valentine’s Day on the horizon and some fantastic deals to be had right now, it’s the perfect excuse to book some time away with loved ones.
“We can’t wait to help people score a few extra brownie points with their other halves and whisk them away to warmer climes for a romantic getaway this spring.”
Under the Spanish government’s current measures, unvaccinated Brits are banned from travelling to Spain.
British travellers must show they are fully vaccinated to holiday in Spain.
The vaccines must be authorised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or by the World Health Organisation.
Travellers must have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival in the country.
There remains limited exemptions to this rule.
