“It was genuinely heartbreaking to see her nearly in tears the day before her last one because we’d just told her we had to change plans.”
Another user shared a picture of her son alone on his birthday with the caption which read: “My son’s 6th Birthday in lockdown. Note the lack of friends and interior designers in attendance.”
Others added: “All the times I crammed in work hours through my kid’s naptimes and into the night seven days a week for months on end just to do my hours.
“AII was PM I could have been taking a break and having some cake and a sing song or drinks in a huge garden whenever I fancied.”
Another said: “My little girl had her 4th and 5th birthdays during lockdown. Her 4th birthday was just a couple of weeks after the lockdown started, so it was just me and her.
“Her 5th, grandad and grandma could be there as they were in our bubble but no parties!”
